BANDS:

So, you want your band to be part of the “Just Add Water Tour,” do ya? If you are a band member, agent, or manager, please read the information below:

About the Tour:
Why “Just Add Water?” Because the music and performances on this trip are going to be VERY concentrated….
The Tour is going to be a faced-paced, high-energy six-week extravaganza. We will be touring the entire Eastern Seaboard of the United States, from Florida to Maine, with dates every 1-3 days, depending on the proximity of venues in any given region. Exact dates and venues will be released soon.
Each show will have six (6) acts playing 30-minute sets of all-original music (that’s where the super-concentrated part comes in). The sets will be short and the turnaround time even shorter—each band will only have 10 min. to set up between sets—which means bands should be prepared to give their all and then some for every show. What we would ultimately like is to take three (3) bands from our local area—Cape Coral, Ft. Myers, Port Charlotte, etc.—to bring on the entire tour and hookup with three (3) bands in each of the cities where we stop to help with the local draw.
Red Tide Records will handle all of the logistics, promotions and publicity for the tour with things like professionally designed and printed posters, spotlights on local community radio stations, newspaper listings, and local street teams. Individual bands are encouraged to promote for themselves, as well…if you have a fan email list, calendar, or your own street team, by all means, use them! The more people we can get in the doors, the better for everyone! Bands will also be able to sell CDs and merchandise at shows.

A Few Guidelines:
1.) Our mission at Red Tide Records has always been to support and promote live music. With that mission in mind, all bands that submit material for consideration must include some kind of media that clearly highlights their ability to capture an hold and audiences’ attention in a live setting. Video is preferred, but we will also consider press or live recordings if no video is available.
2.) All genres are encouraged to apply including hip-hop, funk, ska and those that fit into the “other” category. Remember the more original your sound, the more likely you are to stand out.
3.) We prefer submissions in the form of Electronic Press Kits (EPKs), either from SonicBids or some other resource. If you do not have an EPK, you may send an organized, complete press kit including: photo(s), audio, video if available, a list of recent show dates and venues, any press or efforts to self-promote, and a bio to the address listed on our contact page.
4.) Our tour will only be as strong as the bands performing. Although we don’t want to discourage anyone from applying, those bands with an established working relationship will be given priority over those with less experience. .
5.) Bands are responsible for getting themselves and their instruments to each show. This means you must have access to a reliable vehicle and pay for your own expenses. However, each band will be compensated each night for their performance
6.) Acts chosen to take part in the tour will not necessarily be "signed" to Red Tide Records...we are looking for bands to put in front of a live audience first….we’ll see where things take us from there.
7.) Although Red Tide Records will not hold ourselves personally responsible for most bands on the tour, their actions will directly reflect on our reputation and the reputation of the tour at large. Therefore, bands MUST know how to behave in a professional manner that will encourage a positive working environment for all. We would like to keep the atmosphere on the tour fun and exciting with the philosophy that we are all part of a big, extended family. Individuals who continue to undermine those ideals will be kicked off the tour.

If this sounds like something you would like to become a part of, please go to our Contact page for all the pertinent information. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Amanda at: 239/210-1017

Hey out there!

Red Tide Records, based in Cape Coral, FL is currently seeking submissions from bands and live performers of all types throughout the state of Florida.
We are changing our direction slightly and once enough acts have been found we will start to organize "themed" events based on the type of performers chosen (ex.: rock-a-billy shows, country jams, singer/songwriter series, etc.) so all genres are encouraged to submit.

A few guidelines:
1.) All acts must currently reside within the state of Florida
2.) Acts chosen will not necessarily be "signed" to Red Tide Records...we are looking for bands to put in front of a live audience first….
3.) All acts must be able to capture and hold the attention of a crowd….Submissions should include some sort of video or live recording that effectively demonstrates this ability.
4.) Any band/artist hoping to forge a relationship with Red Tide Records MUST know how to behave in a professional manner that will encourage a positive working environment for all…We do NOT give second chances.

Also, if you are a fellow record label/promotions company in our local area and are interested in pooling resources or joining forces on a project, or you just want to brainstorm, please, drop us a line.

Good luck to all!

Amanda
